Autonomous Vehicles At Willow Run

Autonomous Vehicles at Willow Run
I do not believe that an Autonomous Vehicle Development Station should be built on the grounds of Willow Run in Michigan.
The problem is prying eyes.  There is no way to secure the area.
At this time there is an installation there called the Yankee Air Museum.  They have a B-52 bomber parked on the runway.  You can easily see it from a mile away.  The location is open and flat with plenty of cover.
I believe that any Autonomous Vehicle Development Station should be on the Selfridge Air National Guard Base.  At least they could provide some level of security.
                Why security?
From the point of view of private interests it would not be prudent to perform this development out in the open.
From the point of view of national security it is obvious to even the most disinterested parties that these vehicles will not only be used for transportation of people and goods.  After all the local governments in this region can’t even agree on how run a bus and rail system.
The primary use of these autonomous vehicles will at first be weapons.
Imagine, if you will, an autonomous (or even manned) LS-T, (Landing Ship, Tank), carrying in its hold 100 autonomous tanks and machine gun and missile platforms.
The ship rolls up to the coast, opens its doors and out roll 100 weapons ready for action with no men or women on board.
As a side note some of these autonomous vehicles will be airborne so, again, developing them on the Air Base would be the wise thing to do.
Governor Snyder has apparently out of touch with the realities of the modern economy and, now, it seems, the modern world at large.
