Governor Rick 'Hot Foot' Perry can't stay in one place. He hot footed from Texas (while wild fires burned) to South Carolina to bow to Governor Nimrata Nikki Randhawa Haley. He then announced he would not attend the debate in South Carolina and would return to Texas to fight the fires - he went to Texas, changed his clothes and the next day flew out to California for a debate at the Reagan Library. He then triumphantly returned to Texas, which, luckily for him, was still on fire. Meanwhile the Texas Forest Agency begged other states for help while Perry prepared for his next hop on his Hot Foot to the beautiful State of Florida. His record in Texas includes mandating that 12 year old girls get injected with 'pieces' of Human Papillomavirus Quadrivalent - (the 'sex' vaccine). Recently an article in the Los Angeles Times asked if President Obama were 'channeling' President Roosevelt in his recent jobs speech. I cannot agree that President Obama's speech resembled the oratory of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. President Obama's speech sounded like the haranguing style of a tenured professor faced with a class full of students who were failing his class because it was composed of confused and conflicting messages and so threatened his ability to keep his job. He sounded scared and angry. On the other hand the oratory of President Franklin Roosevelt was clearly directed at solving problems with haste. The White House would have known about 'Fast and Furious' even if only being aware of the method of operation because the 'Fast and Furious' case is not an isolated incident. It is indicative of a secretive technique that the Department of Justice uses. They will sell or buy guns or drugs and transport them or allow them to be transported inside a state, between states or even across the border (as in this case). This technique has grown out of control and is used to advantage by Federal District Attorneys to do what they call 'building a case'. It may take months or years to 'build' a case. What happens during that time is that protection can be given to individuals or groups who normally would be arrested. At times it seems that the FBI and ATF will actually warn off local and state law enforcement from enforcing the law and arresting individuals because they are being used in 'developing a case'. As Americans lose their homes and jobs how about a little information about how John Maynard Keynes married into the Darwin family and was an ardent fan of evolution? His theories and actions were based on that. Also - don't you think it odd that economists who believe in the survival of the fittest can also claim that some corporations are too big to fail? It's like saying the brontosaurus was too big to fail - so, uh, loan the brontosaurus all the leaves it says it needs. That didn't work. Speaking of survival of the fittest - were you aware that in the very near past that there were stock exchanges in nearly every city in the United States? They provided local financing and investment opportunities for local businesses as well as providing a support for larger companies coming into or passing through a local community. One might say in that case - smaller is bigger.
